This past year was a year of travel. We got to go so many places and see so many things!
Here is just a sampling of some of the places we went…
White Pass: We took the boys skiing for the first time this year.
Leavenworth: Thanks to our dear friends, we went to “Bavaria” right here in our own state!
Cannon Beach: We got to go twice this year! One trip even involved surfing in a storm!
Chris got a motorcycle this year. Hoping this will mean some trips on the bike…
June means Bible Camp. And 2 days after we got home…
Chris and I took the trip of a lifetime! We traveled to India on a mission trip with our dentist. We also made stops in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Tokyo on our trip there and back. Chris taught at a Bible College, we did a 5-day VBS at a Children’s Home and we helped at 9 different dental clinics. It was an amazing 3 weeks and we are thankful to God for the chance to serve Him there!
Between India and the wedding, we made a quick road trip out to Fergus Falls, MN for the CLB annual convention with some friends. We always love going to MN! It’s like a giant family reunion!
In August, we made a whirlwind trip down to California to rescue our stranded honeymooners when their car broke down! :(
Since Will and Andy were home alone most of the summer, we went on a quick camping trip for a week down at my parents’ creek…
We took a day trip to the coast and stumbled upon a car show…
Before everyone went back to school, we went on a hike at one of our favorite spots in Washington: Lewis River Falls…
The end of September and the beginning of October was another big travel adventure for Chris and I. We started in Camrose, Alberta where Chris taught for a week at a Bible college there. Then we went straight to Nashville, TN for Chris’ teaching retreat for Landry Academy (his on-line teaching job). We got to see a ton of stuff while we were there: plantations, Civil War battlefields, the Parthenon, the Chattanooga choo-choo, the Opryland Hotel, Lookout Mountain Georgia… just to name a few. It was a fantastic way to celebrate our anniversary!
And just because we needed to finally take our new trailer out on her maiden voyage before we prepped her for the winter, we took a few days to go camping at the coast last week… Yeah, it was just what we needed!
But the REALLY big news of the year is that we added a daughter to the Leingang clan! In August, Zack and Tatum got married in a gorgeous outdoor ceremony! We are so excited to finally have a girl! :)
On a sadder note, in 2014 we said “See you later!” to my Grandma Ide. She was ready to go home and went quickly without suffering, but we will miss her here.
